retail fraud in the 3rd degree what consequences to expect?

me an a friend left family fare with 3 DVDs an no one saw us, but we started to run after we realized we gonna miss the school bus so loss prevention apparently started to chase us we put the DVDs down aways from the store an went back to school an caught the bus…the next day a cop came to the school, our school security guards pulled my friend an i down to the safety office were the cop questioned us separate…we both kinda confessed.. an he “arrested” us(not physically) an gave both us a paper saying we had to appear in court and for pics an finger printing then we went back to lunch…my question is what is gonna happen to us an can we get off easy,should we plea guilty or innocent . and how can we get this off our record. Seeing as this is our firstttt offense on the paper it said we were charged with retail fraud 3rd degree…we r both 17 an we live in michigan which makes us adults i think… does that hurt us any bit and wat should we plea in court???

I am 16 years old, and i am being charged with identity theft i guess… all i did was use a credit card i found and spent only $ 70 on it and i stopped after i found out it was wrong… whats going to happen?

Law applied on Identity Theft and Libel?

Been bothered for almost 9 months already. A certain girl had been making me sick coz she is so busy doing lots of email accounts and used my name, pretending that I was the one who own that email accounts. She has lots of things made, she made a friendster account, stealing my pictures and posted those on her friendster account and then putting lots of nasty and malicious captions on it. One more, she sent my friends messages containing explicit and malicious words. And it doesn’t stop her from doing so, she then found my Mobile number, texting me for so many times, i think, 10 messages per day. I’m so confused! How did she do that? i mean, how did she get my Numbers and my frien’ds contact information. she even hacked my email accounts and stole everything into it, she looked for the Address Book and sent messages to everyboduy in my address book. It started to my bf, she first sends some messages to my bf, sending him annoying messages, texting him, but he doesn’t know her!

Identity theft help!?

So someone stole my identity not like my bank account or anything like that they have been usin my social and rented a house in Orlando under my name and social, they bought 2 homes and they were foreclosed on under my name and social and also got credit cards under my name and they haven’t been able to find the person that was doing it when I went to the police. Recently I had police come to my house and tell me I had a warrant out for my arrest for viation of probation when I’ve never been on probation when they got me to the police dept they saw that it wasn’t me and the girl was using me as an alias they told me to go to the sheriff dept and tell them what was going on and the sheriff dept acted like it was just petty theft my credit is now shot and I don’t know what to do is there any way to fix my credit it’s shot! I can’t even get a bag of skittles under my name it went from 700 to now in the 200′s bc of this girl and I never knew bc I’ve never applied for anything like a home loan or anything like that and I already had a phone and only one credit card that I pay off whenever I use it, now I can’t get a phone and they put a stop too my home loan and my surgery. The cops have been no help so any advice would be great or can this even be fixed the cops said I could go to small claims court and that’s pretty much all they told me…so any advice or information would be GREATLY appreciated!!! e-mail address / identity theft?

I recently started receiving confirmation e-mails for website accounts which I didn’t create, but have apparently been set up using my e-mail address. They typically have a ‘click here if you received this in error or did not request this account’, so I do that. I’m pretty sure it’s a kid because they are websites oriented toward children like Disney.com. But I’m a little freaked out that someone out there is using my address. Am I at risk for identity theft? What should I watch out for? Is there anything I can do to stop this?
I thought Phishing only worked if you replied and sent your password (which I DON’T do).

Any Houston based claims managers overly pleased with the quality of adjusters with their carrier?

Follow-up and reducing company expenses is the issue. I need a w/c insurance provider that is really going to work with me in managing my claims. Identifying fraud red flags, documentation in their claims system, contacting me in a timely fashion, etc. I’m talking about a program with adjusters that go above and beyond. Loss prevention would be nice as well built into our premium. A program that thinks outside the box. Not just some generic pdf documents on their website.

SERIOUS identity theft question.?

A ex friend of mine (meth addict) just told me I had a “unique situation” because I am a non-criminal. Basically he told me we cold make out with $7,000 by identity theft. Now, I have zero clue how this works, nor do I care to. Obviously he has been doing this for awhile…What could I do to help stop this sort of crime?
